Job summary

Alamance House in Burlington, NC is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support residents with activities of daily living, promote independence, and help maintain a safe, comfortable living environment. You will assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility; monitor health, report changes to the nursing team, encourage social engagement, and follow infection control protocols.

The role requires empathy, reliability, and the ability to work with a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Completion of a state-approved PCA/CNA or caregiver training program preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in personal care, senior living, or healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration as needed.
• Help residents maintain personal hygiene and comfort.
• Observe and report changes in residents' health to the nursing team and monitor for adverse reactions.
