Edenton House is seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide direct care to residents, assist with activities of daily living, and promote a safe, nurturing environment. The role emphasizes empathy, attention to detail, and a commitment to residents’ dignity and independence.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, mobility, health monitoring, and emergency response. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in this caregiving setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Completion of a state-approved PCA, CNA, or caregiver training program preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in personal care, senior living, or healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to residents, assisting with ADLs and promoting independence.
• Observe and report changes in residents' health, behavior, and condition to the nursing team.
• Engage residents through companionship and social activities to promote well-being.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe living areas and follow infection control protocols.
