Job summary

Somerset Court of Mocksville is seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support residents with daily living activities, provide compassionate care, and promote dignity and independence in a safe environment.

The PCA will assist with bathing, dressing, mobility, meals, hydration, and comfort while observing health changes and communicating with the nursing staff. A background in senior care, CPR/First Aid preferred, and ability to work as part of a team are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Completion of a state-approved PCA/CNA or caregiver training program preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of healthcare or senior care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility.
• Support meal preparation, feeding assistance and hydration as needed.
• Monitor residents’ health and report changes to the nursing team.
• Foster engagement through companionship and activities.
• Maintain clean, safe living areas and follow safety protocols.
