Job summary

WelbeHealth is seeking a Personal Care Assistant in Los Angeles to provide hands-on personal care to participants at our day center. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, and support participants during transportation and activities, in a collaborative interdisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes safety, compassion, and teamwork within a value-based model; required credentials include HHA/CNA (CA) preferred, with a pathway for CPR/First Aid and food handling

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• HHA or CNA certification in California preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience providing personal care to seniors.
• CA Food Handlers Certification within 30 days of hire.
• CPR and First Aid certification within 180 days of hire; preferred at hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on personal care with ADLs: escorting, toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, laundry, and safe lifting.
• Measure and document participants’ vital signs as instructed.
• Act as medical escort to assist participants with WelbeHealth transportation.
• Oversee day center floor activities to ensure participant safety.
• Assist with meal service and feeding when needed.
• Maintain personal care supplies and grooming items.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Home Health Aide (HHA) certification or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in California
