Job summary

WelbeHealth in California is seeking Personal Care Assistants to join our day center team. You will deliver hands-on personal care, assist with ADLs, escort participants, and help with meals while ensuring safety and comfort.

You’ll work with an interdisciplinary team, meet certification requirements, and enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical insurance, PTO, holidays, a 401(k) match, and a generous bonus program. Hourly pay ranges from $22 to $25.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• HHA or CNA certification preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience providing personal care to seniors.
• Must be willing and able to drive to escort assignments within the service area.
• CA Food Handlers Certification within 30 days of hire.
• CPR and First Aid certification within 180 days of hire and maintain thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on personal care assistance with ADLs for WelbeHealth participants (escort, toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, laundry, lifting).
• Measure and document participants’ vital signs as instructed.
• Act as medical escort when needed, assisting with boarding/exiting WelbeHealth transportation.
• Oversee activity on the day center floor to ensure participant safety.
• Assist with meal service and feeding as needed.
• Maintain personal care supplies (incontinence supplies, grooming items).
