Job summary

Citadel Healthcare in Skokie, IL seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to join its care team. The RN will be responsible for providing licensed nursing care, assessing and implementing plans of care for residents during shifts, while ensuring regulatory compliance and safety.

The role emphasizes documentation, collaboration with the IDT, and adherence to infection control and HIPAA policies. Long-term care experience is preferred, with potential for growth and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Nurses must be licensed and provide licensed care per physician orders and standards.
• Experience with infection control and HIPAA compliance is required.
• Ability to document care plans and communicate care effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provides licensed care to residents as ordered by physician and per regulations.
• Maintains clean and sanitary work areas and treatment spaces.
• Records vital signs and administers required treatments within license scope.
• Charts nursing notes reflecting care provided and patient response.
• Ensures safety and addresses potential hazards promptly.
• Monitors non-licensed staff as needed to meet care standards.
• Communicates with residents, families, physicians and staff as required.
• Implements and maintains resident care plans; suggests plan changes.
• Ensures infection control standards are followed and deviations corrected.
• Adheres to HIPAA and company policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
