Job summary

The Citadel of Skokie is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Skokie, IL. You will assume responsibility for a group of residents, delivering high-quality nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, administering medications, maintaining a clean care environment, and coordinating with the IDT to update care plans. We value compassion, accuracy, and professional standards in a supportive setting.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to multi-task and remain calm under stress.
• Must be able to adapt to a flexible work schedule and occasional overnight travel.
• Possess basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications.

Responsibilities

• Provides licensed care to assigned residents as ordered by physician and in accordance with facility, federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
• Ensures assigned work area, resident care rooms and treatment areas are maintained in a clean and sanitary manner.
• Takes and records vital signs, administers IV therapy to residents within license, and provides respiratory care as ordered.
• Charts nurses notes reflecting care provided and resident response.
• Maintains safe environment, addressing safety risks as warranted.
• Monitors ancillary services to meet professional standards of resident care.
• Communicates with residents, families, physicians, guardians and facility staff as required.
• Ensures care plans are implemented and updated per professional standards.
