Job summary

Village Medical in New Jersey is seeking a Registered Nurse to support patients and enhance their experience. You will welcome patients, assist during visits, and provide clear information about services and medications.

Responsibilities include administering medications, performing point-of-care tests, venipuncture, vital signs, and patient education. BLS may be required within 90 days; Spanish speaking is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience required.
• Spanish speaking preferred.
• High School Diploma/Equivalency required.
• Experience in primary care, family practice, internal medicine, urgent care, or ER preferred.

Responsibilities

• As a Registered Nurse, welcome and prepare the patient for their appointment and provide clear information about services.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by the Provider.
• Perform point-of-care tests and EKGs; dispose of sharps per policy.
• Collect and document vital signs, medical histories, and screenings.
• Provide patient education on medications and diet; authorize refills as directed.
• Prepare patients, rooms, and supplies for visits; assist with examinations.
• Perform phlebotomy and correctly process specimens.
• Maintain cleanliness of treatment rooms and equipment; perform quality controls and equipment checks.
