Job summary

VillageMD in New Jersey is seeking a Registered Nurse to support patient care and ensure an exceptional patient experience. You will welcome patients, inform them of services, and facilitate their visits with clear communication and compassionate care.

The role includes administering medications, performing phlebotomy and ECGs, collecting vital signs, and preparing patients and rooms for examinations. A valid RN license is required with preferred BLS certification and 1 year of related

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• 1 year of experience preferred
• Phlebotomy experience required
• BLS certification preferred; required within 90 days of employment
• High School Diploma/Equivalency required
• Experience in primary care, family practice, internal medicine, urgent care, or ER preferred
• Spanish speaking preferred

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare the patient for their appointment
• Inform patients of services and required information
• Administer PO, IM, and ID medications as directed
• Perform point-of-care laboratory tests and EKGs
• Collect vital signs, histories, and screenings
• Provide medication and diet instructions
• Handle prescription refills as directed
• Prepare patients, room, and supplies for visit
• Perform phlebotomy and process specimens
• Maintain treatment rooms and equipment
• Conduct quality controls and equipment checks
