Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Registered Nurse in Berkeley Heights, NJ to support patients and enhance their visit experience. You will welcome patients, prep rooms, and communicate services clearly to ensure a smooth visit.

Responsibilities include administering medications, performing point-of-care tests and EKGs, collecting vitals, phlebotomy, and maintaining clean treatment rooms; BLS preferred and phlebotomy experience required. Spanish speaking a plus.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience required.
• BLS certification preferred; required within 90 days.
• High School Diploma/Equivalency required.
• Experience in primary care, family practice, internal medicine, urgent care, or ER preferred.
• Spanish speaking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes and prepares the patient for the appointment.
• Informs patients of relevant information for their visit and the services they will receive.
• Provides clear communication about scheduled services.
• Administers PO, IM, and ID medications as directed.
• Performs point‑of‑care tests, EKGs, sutures/removal, and dressing changes.
• Collects and documents vitals, histories, and screenings.
• Performs phlebotomy and processes specimens.
• Maintains clean treatment rooms and equipment.
• Performs quality controls and equipment checks.
