Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Resident Assistant/Personal Care Aide to support residents with daily living activities at the Moon Township community. The role requires compassion, reliability, and the ability to work with a nursing team to maintain high care standards.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, reporting incidents, and participating in activity programs while keeping residents safe and comfortable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of approved personal care aide program per state regulations.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Organized and able to work with all levels of staff.
• Contribute to nursing team and follow supervisor instructions.
• Polite and considerate to residents, visitors, and co-workers.
• Able to stand/walk for extended periods; lift 50 lbs; push/carry 25 lbs.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days.
• Represent the community professionally.
• Attend required in-services and staff meetings.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Report incidents and concerns to appropriate staff.
• Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures.
• Perform housekeeping and sanitation duties as directed.
• Respond to resident calls and emergencies.
• Assist in planning and conducting activity programs.
• Ensure confidentiality of resident information.
• Assist residents to and from dining and activities.
• Monitor resident health and report changes to the team.
• Provide emotional support during move-in transitions.
• Other duties as assigned.
