Job summary

Christian Living Communities | Cappella Living Solutions is seeking a compassionate caregiver to meet daily personal care needs of residents, assist with ADLs, meals, bathing and dressing, and support comfort and dignity.

You will document resident status, communicate with supervisors, participate in staff meetings, and ensure safety. One year elder care experience preferred; proficiency with electronic health records is helpful; must maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
• One (1) year experience in elder care preferred.
• Knowledgeable with Electronic Health Management system.
• Strong self-management and organization skills.
• Strong multi-tasking abilities with the ability to handle competing deadlines, flexible and adaptable.
• Ability to effectively handle difficult and sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Attend to the personal care needs of residents in a timely manner and provide assistance with ADLs as requested by residents, care plan or supervisor.
• Provide personal care services such as bathing, dressing, meals, laundry, with attention to individual resident needs.
• Identify and report resident care needs to supervisor, including hygiene, injuries or device issues.
• Respond to family member needs as appropriate.
• Maintain open communication with supervisor and peers to promote awareness of resident issues.
• Monitor safety and well-being of residents and report changes in health status to supervisor.
• Complete documentation for care activities and any required forms.
• Assist with prescribed daily medication routines as appropriate and per policy.
• Participate in staff meetings and communicate resident and departmental needs.
