Job summary

Eskaton Properties is seeking a Resident Care Associate to provide personal and companion care in Eskaton communities. You will assist with daily living activities, document care, and support residents with privacy and respect.

The role emphasizes safety, independence, and compassionate service, with starting pay 24.00–27.00 per hour. Experience in long-term care and a current first aid certificate are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or G.E.D. preferred. Proficient ability to communicate orally and in writing in the English language.
• Six (6) months’ experience in providing personal care in an RCFE or other long-term care setting preferred. Valid/current first aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides or assists in bathing or showering for resident hygiene.
• Assists residents in dressing and protects privacy while providing care.
• Provides companion care including reading, visiting, and assisting with personal tasks.
• Makes beds, keeps resident care areas organized.
• Assists with light meals at the resident's direction.
• Schedules medical appointments or other vital services and may accompany residents to appointments.
• Promotes independence and safety in resident care.
• Assists with exercises and mobility as directed by medical staff and supports fitness programs.
• Applies medical or adaptive devices as ordered.
• Collects specimens as directed by care team.
• May deliver meal trays or assist dining room.
• Assists residents with personal laundry and dry cleaning.
