Job summary

Eskaton, a nonprofit leader in aging in Northern California, seeks compassionate care staff to assist residents with daily activities, bathing, mobility, and safety. You’ll support independence and collaborate with nurses and therapists to follow individualized care plans in a respectful, dignified environment.

Starting pay ranges from $20.65 to $23.75 per hour. Eskaton offers competitive pay, a 401K match, and comprehensive benefits to support health and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; proficient ability to communicate orally and in writing in English.
• Six (6) months of personal care experience in residential or long-term care settings preferred; valid first aid certification.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provides companion care including reading, visiting, assisting with personal tasks per resident plan.
• Assists with bathing or showering for hygiene.
• Makes beds and keeps care area organized.
• Assists residents in dressing while preserving privacy.
• Promotes independence and safety in resident care.
• Assists with simple range of motion or exercises as directed and supports fitness activities.
• Applies medical or adaptive devices as ordered.
• Collects specimens as directed.
• Follows Eskaton emergency protocols and policies.
