Job summary

Rockport Healthcare Services is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide routine nursing care under the supervision of the Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses or Administrator. The role emphasizes maintaining high-quality resident care through diligent rounds, assistance with meals, hygiene, and daily activities.

The position requires CNA certification or active enrollment, at least 6 months of CNA experience, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a CNA program or hold a CNA license.
• Minimum 6 months CNA experience or clinical CNA exposure.
• Desire to serve ill, aged, and infirm.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, families, visitors and staff.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with others.
• Patience, tact, cheerful disposition and empathy for residents.
• Good health and emotional stability.
• Ability to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly and upset residents.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per facility policies and nursing care procedures.
• Make rounds at shift start and every two hours.
• Verify resident identity before care or meals.
• Make beds and prepare residents for meals.
• Assist with feeding and meal assistance.
• Dress residents and help with hygiene.
• Attend in-service trainings and meetings.
• Report incidents, abuses or hazardous conditions to Charge Nurse.
• Move bedfast residents and document CNA notes.
• Follow infection control procedures as required.
