Job summary

Rockport Healthcare Services seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide routine nursing care under the direction of nursing leadership. You will perform prescribed care, observe residents, and report changes to the Charge Nurse to maintain quality care.

The role emphasizes compassion, patient safety, and adherence to facility policies. Previous CNA experience or enrollment in a CNA program is required or preferred, with strong English communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a CNA program or hold a CNA license.
• Minimum 6 months CNA experience or clinical CNA exposure.
• Desire to serve the ill, aged and infirm.
• Able to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families, and staff.
• Willing to work harmoniously with others.
• Patient, cheerful, and empathetic toward residents.
• In good health and emotionally stable.
• Able to relate to ill, disabled, elderly and upset residents.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per facility policies and nursing care procedures.
• Make rounds at start of shift and every two hours.
• Verify resident identification before care or meals.
• Assist with bed making, hygiene, dressing, bathing.
• Assist with meals, nourishment, and feeding as needed.
• Ensure water accessibility, food safety, and sanitation.
• Transport residents to therapies and appointments.
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition.
• Document care and respond to nurse requests.
• Attend in-service training and follow safety rules.
