Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Martinsburg, WV seeks a Resident Assistant/Personal Care Aide to provide quality daily living assistance to residents. You will support activities of daily living, assist with housekeeping, and help ensure a safe, comfortable environment in a compassionate team setting.

Responsibilities include helping residents with meals and activities, maintaining confidentiality, and reporting status to the nursing team.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed approved personal care aide program per state regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Organized and able to work with all levels of staff.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and transfer residents with proper body mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care and assistance with activities of daily living.
• Perform housekeeping and cleanliness of resident areas.
• Respond promptly to resident calls and emergency alerts.
• Assist residents to dining and activities; monitor attendance.
• Communicate resident status to nursing staff.
• Assist new residents with move-in transition and emotional support.
• Follow confidentiality policies regarding resident information.
• Attend required in-services and staff meetings.
• Work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
