Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Resident Assistant/PCA to provide quality daily living support in Morgantown, West Virginia. You will assist residents with activities of daily living and respond promptly to care needs, while maintaining resident dignity and confidentiality.

The role emphasizes teamwork with nurses and staff, safety, and compassionate communication. Weekend/holiday coverage is required and training opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have successfully completed approved personal care aide program per state regulations as applicable.
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in-writing.
• Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel.
• Must be a contributing member of nursing team and follow instruction of supervisor.
• Must be CPR/First Aid certified, or be willing to become certified within 60 days of hire.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• The Resident Assistant/PCA provides quality care and assistance with activities of daily living to residents.
• Reports incidents involving residents to include care concerns or issues to appropriate individuals.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living and housekeeping duties as directed.
• Responds promptly to all resident calls for assistance or emergency alerts.
• Assists in planning and conducting activity programs for residents and ensures confidentiality of resident information.
• Assists residents to and from dining room and activities and checks on resident status.
