Job summary

Rocky Mountain Assisted Living seeks a dedicated QMAP caregiver for 8-hour shifts (6AM-2PM, 2PM-10PM, 10PM-6AM) to assist residents in a Rocky Mountain Assisted Living home in Colorado. The role requires current QMAP, 1st Aid and CPR, and at least 1 year of eldercare experience.

Candidates must be able to lift 30 pounds, read and write in English, and work 12-hour shifts with breaks. Training and compliance with RMAL policies are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have sympathetic attitude toward elderly care.
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions, fluent in English.
• Current QMAP Certification.
• Current 1st Aid and CPR Certification.
• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience providing care to elderly or disabled.
• Ability to safely lift up to 30 pounds.
• Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living per care plan.
• Adhere to RMAL policies and procedures and Resident Rights.
• Administer routine medications per Colorado State Health Department regulations and RMAL policies.
• Communicate changes in resident condition to House Manager and Directors.
• Follow activity calendar and conduct at least one activity per shift.
• Report items running low to House Manager.
• Perform housekeeping to keep home clean and tidy.
• Participate in orientation, training, and in-service programs.
• Document in care logs and MAR before leaving shift.
• Maintain positive professional attitude with families, physicians, and staff.
• Follow safe food practices and menu communications.
