Responsibilities

• Answers incoming calls, screens as necessary, and transfers as requested.
• Greets and directs employees, visitors, patients, business representatives and the general public arriving at the facility.
• Provides general information regarding the facility and department functions and procedures.
• Notifies nursing staff of patient arrival and routes patient to waiting, testing or therapy areas as necessary.
• If the patient is to be admitted, notifies nursing staff of patient’s arrival and finds an escort for patient to the appropriate area.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
