Job summary

Service Corporation International is seeking a motivated Pre-Planning Advisor to help families plan pre-need arrangements and services, delivering professional, compassionate service from home or on-site field visits.

You will lead generation efforts, build community relationships, and present planning guides while maintaining strong referrals and high-quality client interactions. Some evening/weekend work may be required to meet targets.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent; 1–2 years of college or equivalent experience.
• Current state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; depending on state, Funeral Directors License may be required.
• Sales experience or related industry experience; CRM systems are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead generation and building referrals for at-need and pre-need arrangements.
• Prospect families face-to-face at events, in homes, or via seminars; minimum daily prospecting.
• Obtain referrals and follow up with families after services to nurture relationships.
• Build community relationships and networks to support business.
• Present planning guides and educate families on pre-planning benefits.
• Maintain activity logs and adapt schedule to meet targets, including evenings/weekends.
• Provide attentive, respectful support during times of grief; respond promptly to inquiries.
• Develop tailored solutions for families’ needs and maintain ongoing touchpoints.
