Job summary

Mercy Health in Fairfield, OH is seeking a Physical Therapist to perform initial and ongoing assessments and provide skilled therapeutic interventions across outpatient, inpatient, pediatric, and off-site settings. You will contribute to the continuum of professional care for a diverse patient population.

The role includes evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, documenting progress in the EMR, supervising PT assistants, and maintaining patient safety and productivity in a busy hospital

Qualifications

• Demonstrates age-appropriate standards and guidelines for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Maintains accurate records and uses electronic medical records systems.
• Demonstrates data entry, word processing, and records management skills.
• Analytical abilities to evaluate patient condition, progress and plan effectiveness.
• Ability to interact effectively with coworkers, physicians, patients, and families.
• Demonstrates critical thinking in clinical decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients and develops a treatment plan with specific goals.
• Provides direct therapy daily per the individual plan of care.
• Documents care, progress, and coordination in the EMR; co-signs for PT assistants when applicable.
• Maintains productivity while ensuring quality of care.
• Follows department safety, infection control, and timekeeping procedures.
