Job summary

Mercy Health – Lourdes Hospital is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Laboratory Department. You will draw blood samples, prepare specimens for testing and perform related clerical duties to support efficient lab operations.

Requirements include a High School Degree or GED with preferred phlebotomy certification and at least one year of phlebotomy or customer service experience. Travel to off-site locations may be required; Mercy Health offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• Phlebotomist Certification preferred but not required.
• One year phlebotomy experience preferred but not required.
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Travel to off-site locations may be required.

Responsibilities

• Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing.
• Handle order entry, result look-up, report generation and telephone inquiries.
• Label, centrifuge, split and properly process specimens as requested by test orders.
• Perform clerical duties such as inventory checks and answering phones as needed.
