Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Phlebotomist to join the West Hospital Laboratory. The Phlebotomist draws quality blood samples, prepares specimens for testing, and completes clerical duties to maintain department efficiency.

This PRN position requires flexibility to travel to off-site locations and to support the lab team with order entry, result look-up, and report generation while providing friendly service to patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED.
• Phlebotomist Certification preferred but not required.
• One-year phlebotomy experience preferred but not required.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-pasted environment.
• Engage with staff and patients in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Provides high-quality blood samples from patients.
• Prepares specimens for lab testing and completes clerical duties.
• Performs order entry, result look-up, report generation.
• Answers internal/external calls in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Travels to off-site locations as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by the lab supervisor.
