Job summary

Mercy Health seeks a Phlebotomist to join New Vision Medical Laboratories - Joint Township. You will draw quality blood samples, prepare specimens for lab testing, and perform clerical duties to maintain department efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomist certification preferred but not required.
• One year phlebotomy or customer service experience encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service by greeting patients and community respectfully.
• Collects specimens according to procedures and ensures proper processing.
• Identifies patients accurately and matches identity with service for safety.
• Performs data entry and specimen handling (labeling, centrifuging, splitting, freezing).
• Performs clerical duties such as inventory checks and answering phones as needed.
• Troubleshoots and resolves problems promptly.
