Job summary

Cincinnati Children's is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for the Liberty LA Department. The role involves providing approved patient care under RN supervision, performing daily living activities, and assisting with transport and observation as needed.

We expect completion of a CNA/ECNA-equivalent program or an accredited clinical rotation, CPR certification, and relevant patient-care experience. This is a full-time position with a standard American schedule and patient-centered teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent AND one of the listed qualifications.
• CPR training and certification required.

Responsibilities

• Plan of Care - Provide approved care of assigned patients and assist in implementation of interventions under supervision of RN.
• Communication - Demonstrates CARES behaviors; report changes and document in medical record.
• Environment - Maintain organized, safe, infection-control compliant areas.
• Administrative Support - Respond to alarms, answer phones, assemble charts and stock supplies.

High school diploma or equivalent with clinical rotation in ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA accredited institution

Ohio STNA registry or Ohio CNA (reciprocity within 180 days)

Ohio or National EMS Registry

One year patient care experience in last 3 years

Completion of Patient Care Assistant training after hire
