Job summary

Cincinnati Children's in Liberty Township, OH is seeking a part-time Patient Care Assistant for the Liberty Urgent Care team. The role supports plan of care under supervision, assists with activities of daily living, and provides compassionate patient interaction in the evening shift.

Travel is not required; training and supervision are provided. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and CPR certification; one year of patient care experience is a plus, with internal training

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent AND one of the following: Ohio STNA/CNA license (if CNA is in another state, reciprocity within 180 days); OR Ohio or National EMS Registry; OR 1 year of patient care experience in last 3 years; OR completion of Patient Care Assistant training after hire.
• Requires CPR training and maintenance of certification.
• Internal training program offered periodically based on business need.

Responsibilities

• Plan of Care - Provide approved care of assigned patients and assist under supervision of RN; supervise ADLs and assist with 1:1 observation as needed.
• Communication - Document in medical record and report changes; provide frontline customer service.
• Environment - Maintain safe, organized spaces and adhere to infection control policies.
• Administrative Support - Respond to alarms, answer calls, assemble charts, stock supplies, assist with orientation.
