Job summary

Cincinnati Children's is seeking a part-time Patient Care Assistant for the Liberty Urgent Care location. You will provide approved patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, assist with daily living activities, and support co-workers as needed in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes safe, compassionate care, timely documentation, and adherence to infection control and safety procedures for pediatric patients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and CPR certification.
• ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA accredited nursing program completion or eligibility.
• Reciprocity for Ohio STNA/National Registry may apply.
• At least 1 year of patient care experience in the last 3 years.
• Completion of Patient Care Assistant training after hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan basic care for assigned patients under RN supervision.
• Supervise and assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Supervise developmentally appropriate activities.
• Assist co-workers after completing own duties.
• Use crisis control techniques and assist in de-escalation.
• Assist with patient transport as requested.
• May assist 1-on-1 patient observation as needed.
• Document patient information timely in the medical record.
