Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a Part Time, Day Shift Patient Care Technician for the Burn Trauma unit in Norfolk, VA. The role includes 24 hours per week across two 12-hour shifts (7 AM–7 PM) with rotating weekends.

The PCT will perform patient care, vital signs, phlebotomy, EKG, and other duties under RN supervision, with opportunities for training and growth within Sentara Health.

Qualifications

• One year of health care experience preferred.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Monitor vital signs, mobility, and ambulation.
• Perform phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, EKG, and IV removal.
