Job summary

UTHealth Houston is seeking a Patient Transporter to safely move patients between departments at 6410 Fannin Street and 6414 Fannin Street during regular business hours (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM). You will assist with patient movement using wheelchairs, stretchers, and other transport equipment while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. Minimum education is a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least six months of experience in patient transport or

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months of experience in patient transport or healthcare preferred.
• Commitment to patient safety and comfort while moving patients.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families and identify the patient’s provider.
• Transport patients between departments using wheelchairs, stretchers, or other equipment.
• Escort patients to and from arrival points and clinic areas with a courteous manner.
• Verify patient identification and provide directions as needed.
• Report equipment issues and maintain a clean, organized transport area.
