Beth Israel Lahey Health's Winchester Hospital is hiring a Part-time Patient Transporter. The role supports patient movement, handles equipment transport, and ensures patient dignity and safety during transfers. BLS certification is required, with prior patient care experience preferred.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior patient care experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Mansioni

• Rounds the hospital to assess transport inventory and moves equipment to optimize operations and maximize patient throughput.
• Greets and informs patient of move process and identifies patient to ensure comfort and safety.
• Moves furniture to accommodate stretcher and wheelchair as needed.
• Transfers patient from bed to stretcher or wheelchair with clinical staff, ensuring dignity and safety.
• Transports patient care equipment and materials between departments and replenishes code carts as required.
• Notifies receiving departments on arrival and conducts thorough hand-offs.
