Job summary

Great River Health is seeking a Patient Transporter to help move patients safely within our facility, assist with mobility, and operate transport equipment. You will work with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient movement, maintain transport logs, and support patient comfort and safety.

Requirements include a high school diploma and experience in patient transport or healthcare support; BLS/First Aid certification within 180 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in patient transport or healthcare support role.
• BCLS/First Aid certification within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely and efficiently within the facility.
• Assist patients with mobility needs to ensure comfort and safety.
• Operate transport equipment with hygiene and accuracy.
• Communicate with medical staff to coordinate patient movement.
• Maintain transport logs and report issues or delays promptly.
• Assist with transfers to beds, wheelchairs, or medical equipment as required.
