Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to walk long distances and lift or push heavy equipment.
• Strong communication with nursing staff and dispatch.
• Commitment to patient dignity, confidentiality and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients via wheelchair, stretcher, or bed throughout the hospital.
• Ensure patient comfort, dignity and confidentiality during transport.
• Respond promptly to transport requests using dispatch systems.
• Maintain schedules and minimize wait times for patients and department.
• Operate stretcher, wheelchairs, beds, and oxygen equipment safely.
• Clean and sanitize transport equipment after each use.
• Communicate clearly with nursing staff, dispatcher, and other departments.
• Follow all infection control protocols.
• Ability to walk long distances, push/pull heavy equipment, and assist patient movement.
• Maintain a professional and compassionate attitude at all times.
