Qualifications

• Ability to follow oral and written directions accurately.
• Effective communication with patients, nurses, physicians, and hospital staff.
• Basic math skills required.
• Must complete Preventive Back Injury & Proper Lift Technique training within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports patients via stretcher or wheelchair to hospital departments.
• Assist in transporting supplies and belongings during discharges within standards.
• Coordinate with clinical staff for transport of critical care patients.
• Maintain positive working relationships to enable effective communication.
• Identify ways to improve processes and customer satisfaction.
• Make recommendations to supervisor and monitor results.
• Stay current with developments by attending seminars/read publications.
