Job summary

Englewood Health in Englewood, NJ is seeking a Per Diem Transport Associate to safely move patients via wheelchair, stretcher, or bed throughout the hospital while ensuring comfort and confidentiality.

You will respond to transport requests, support infection control, and assist nursing staff with patient movement. A High School diploma is required; minimum rate is $16.50/hour. Evening shift 2p-10p.

Qualifications

• High School graduate/GED certificate required.
• Ability to walk long distances and assist with patient movement.
• Excellent communication with nursing staff and dispatch.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients via wheelchair, stretcher, or bed throughout the hospital
• Ensure patient comfort, dignity, and confidentiality during transport
• Respond promptly to transport requests using dispatch systems
• Maintain schedules and minimize wait times for patients and department
• Operate stretcher, wheelchairs, beds, and oxygen tanks safely
• Clean and sanitize transport equipment after each use
• Communicate clearly with nursing staff, dispatcher, and other department
• Follow all infection control protocols
• Maintain professional and compassionate attitude at all times
