Job summary

Englewood Health is seeking a dedicated patient transporter to safely move patients across the facility while preserving comfort, dignity, and confidentiality. You will respond to requests via dispatch systems and help maintain efficient patient flow in northern New Jersey.

Minimum education is a High School diploma or GED. The role requires the ability to assist movement, follow infection control protocols, and interact professionally with staff and patients. Competitive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to walk long distances and assist with patient movement.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients via wheelchair, stretcher, or bed.
• Maintain patient comfort, dignity, and confidentiality.
• Respond promptly to transport requests using dispatch systems.
• Maintain schedules and minimize wait times for patients and department.
• Operate stretchers, wheelchairs, beds, and oxygen tanks safely.
• Clean and sanitize transport equipment after each use.
• Communicate clearly with nursing staff, dispatcher, and other department personnel.
• Follow all infection control protocols.
• Maintain a professional and compassionate attitude at all times.
