Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients via wheelchair, stretcher, or bed throughout the hospital
• Ensure patient comfort, dignity, and confidentiality during transport
• Respond promptly to transport requests using dispatch systems
• Maintain schedules and minimize wait times for patients and department
• Operate stretchers, wheelchairs, beds, and oxygen tanks safely
• Clean and sanitize transport equipment after each use
• Communicate clearly with nursing staff, dispatchers, and other department
• Follow all infection control protocols
• Ability to walk long distances, push/pull heavy equipment, and assist with patient movement
• Maintain a professional and compassionate attitude at all times
