Job summary

GBMC HealthCare in Towson, Maryland is seeking a Transport Associate to move patients, specimens, equipment, and supplies across the Medical Center. The role requires strong communication, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and teamwork to support patient care.

Qualifications

High School, GED equivalency, or equivalent work experience.
Heart Saver (CPR Certification) within 30 days of start date

Responsibilities

Transports patients, specimens, equipment and supplies throughout the Medical Center, utilizing stretchers, wheelchairs, beds, cardiac chairs and other transport equipment.
Assists in lifting or placing patients onto and out of the transport conveyance, securing patient onto equipment, ensuring patient has identification band, and checking same to ensure correct patient is being transported. Ensures patient dignity and privacy are maintained by draping patient appropriately.
Maintains cleanliness of stretchers and related transport equipment.
Transports and locates a variety of equipment, specimens, and supplies to and from designated areas.
