Job summary

Greater Baltimore Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a dedicated transport staff member to move patients, equipment and specimens throughout the facility.

The role requires safe patient handling, attention to identification procedures and maintaining dignity and privacy during transport. You will operate stretchers, wheelchairs and other transport equipment while ensuring cleanliness and proper placement of items.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent work experience.
• CPR certification within 30 days of start date.
• Not applicable or minimal prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients, specimens, equipment and supplies throughout the Medical Center using stretchers, wheelchairs, beds, cardiac chairs and other transport equipment.
• Assists in lifting or placing patients onto and out of transport conveyances, secures patient, ensures correct patient ID, and maintains patient dignity and privacy.
• Maintains cleanliness of stretchers and related transport equipment.
• Transports and locates equipment, specimens, and supplies to and from designated areas.
