Job summary

South Shore Health in South Weymouth, MA is seeking a Patient Transporter to deliver prompt, courteous service, safely moving patients, specimens, and equipment between departments, using wheelchairs or stretchers as needed.

You will work under the Manager of Patient Transport and Visitor Services, collaborate with nursing and ancillary staff, follow safety and infection prevention guidelines, and assist with dispatch and documentation when required.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Must be 16 years or older at application.
• Previous hospital experience preferred but not required.
• English language proficiency required.
• Ability to move or lift patients and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports patients between departments (radiology, PACU, units, ED).
• Transports patients using stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintains infection prevention guidelines for equipment.
