Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Good inter-personal skills and a customer service orientation to maintain a collaborative, patient focused effort between Patient Transportation and other hospital departments.
• Preferred: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within 6 months of hire.
• Six months’ experience in a hospital environment.

Aufgaben

• Escorts ambulatory patients by wheelchair, stretcher or bed; verifies identification and signs Safe Patient Transport forms; ensures comfort and safety during transport.
• Assists nursing staff in moving and positioning patients using lift devices; follows infection control procedures.
• Delivers beds, stretchers, cribs and wheelchairs; cleans and sanitizes transport equipment.
• Transports patient specimens to Lab, Pathology, and Blood Bank per infection control guidelines.
• Operates TDSS dispatch system and maintains transport logs.
