Job summary

South Shore Health is seeking a Part-time Patient Transporter at Weymouth, MA. Under the Manager of Patient Transport and Visitor Services, you will safely move patients, specimens, and equipment by wheelchair or stretcher while delivering courteous service.

You will collaborate with nursing and support departments to ensure timely patient flow in a fast-paced hospital setting. Weekend evening shift 3pm–11:30pm; high school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior hospital experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be 16 years or older at time of application.
• Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports patients between departments using wheelchairs, stretchers, and beds.
• Monitors patient comfort and safety during transport; reports changes to nursing staff.
• Assists with patient transfers and handling of equipment.
• Dispatches transport requests and documents services when needed.
