Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Patient Transport Technician to move patients safely and efficiently within Grand Junction, CO. The role emphasizes quality patient care, confidentiality, and smooth handoffs to nursing and test-site staff.

The position is full-time, with benefits, and requires current BLS certification or the ability to obtain within 60 days. A high school diploma and customer-service experience are preferred. The team focuses on compassion and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain within sixty (60) days of hire.
• Must be at least 18 years of age if working in Radiology areas (per Intermountain’s Employment of Minors Policy).
• Preferred: At least two (2) years of customer service experience
• Preferred: At least one (1) year of medical experience

Responsibilities

• Transports patients in a safe and efficient manner.
• Uses Safe Patient Handling equipment as indicated.
• Notifies patient nurse or test site staff when transporting patients and arrivals.
• Performs wheelchair/bed rounding and restocking.
• May cross-train for other areas (Morgue, Kitchen, EVS, Inventory).
• Cares for patients, families, visitors and staff with quality service.
