Responsibilities

• Rounds the hospital to assess transport inventory and move equipment to optimize operations and maximize patient throughput.
• Greets and informs patients about move process, ensuring safety, dignity, and comfort.
• Transfers patients using stretcher or wheelchair with clinical staff support.
• Transports items including lab specimens and pharmacy supplies throughout the hospital.
• Notifies receiving departments and conducts thorough handoffs on arrival.
• Coordinates with departments to resolve transport conflicts and improve wait times.
• Replenishes code carts and ensures availability of emergent tools across departments.
