Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative to serve as the first point of contact for patients, handling intake, check-in/out, and information verification. The role emphasizes courteous patient interactions, accurate EMR documentation, and efficient appointment scheduling in a busy clinic setting.

The position is full-time, involves 36 hours weekly across Logan and North Cache Instacare, with weekends and holidays required.

Qualifications

Six months of customer service experience.
Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with patients and fellow caregivers to deliver the highest level of customer/patient satisfaction.
Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and Protected Health Information (PHI).

Responsibilities

Provide courteous and professional connections with patients by phone, in person or via secure messaging.
Document all interactions in the EMR.
Schedule appointments for visits, procedures, tests, referrals or consultations.
Register patients by confirming and updating demographic data.
Assist patients with forms for regulatory and billing needs and collect payments.
Stay current on role responsibilities and participate in team meetings to maintain high performance.
