Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a patient service representative to join the SAMG Clerical Float Pool Team. You will welcome patients, check in for appointments, collect co-pays, answer phones, and coordinate with clinicians using EPIC.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year of customer service experience required; healthcare experience preferred.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients with a positive service experience.
• Register patients for appointments and complete paperwork.
• Verify and update patient and insurance information.
• Assist with billing, payments, and financial assistance paperwork.
• Use EPIC to update patient records and coordinate with clinic staff.
• Maintain a neat reception area and manage schedule adherence.
• Communicate delays and expected wait times to patients.
