Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise, ID is seeking a Patient Service Representative for our OB/GYN Clinic. You will support physicians and staff, check patients in, collect co-pays, answer calls, schedule appointments, and verify insurance eligibility using EPIC.

We seek a friendly, detail-oriented self-starter who can handle confidential information with care and provide exceptional patient service. This full-time Day Shift role offers growth opportunities within SAHS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience required. Healthcare experience preferred. Electronic health record (EHR) experience a plus. Medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Knows, understands, and demonstrates SAHS Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
• Protects patient confidentiality and follows HIPAA guidelines.
• Maintains operations by following policies and procedures and reports needed changes.
• Registers patients for appointments and completes paperwork.
• Verifies and updates existing patient and insurance information.
• Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of arrival.
• Collects, records, and communicates patient balances for visit, testing, and services.
• Assist patients with Financial Assistance Paperwork and budgeting for care.
• Maintain knowledge of payer practices and deductibles.
• Maintain a neat work area including the reception area.
