Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise, Idaho, is seeking a Patient Service Representative to join the SAMG Clerical Float Pool. This part-time day shift role supports multiple SAMG Medical Clinics, handling patient check-in, payments, phones, scheduling, and insurance verification with EPIC.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience required; healthcare experience preferred.
• EHR experience a plus; medical terminology preferred.
• Experience with process improvement or lean philosophy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients for appointments and collect co-pays.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and update patient information.
• Verify insurance eligibility and maintain confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Use EPIC to update required patient data and maintain accurate records.
• Coordinate with physicians and clinical staff to support patient flow.
