Job summary

Morrison Healthcare is hiring immediately for a full-time Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide) at Novant Health Ballantyne Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. The 12-hour shifts run 6:45 am to 6:45 pm with rotating weekends; prior food service experience is preferred and the pay rate is $17.00 per hour.

As part of a patient-care team, you’ll help patients choose menu items, assemble and deliver meals, and ensure meals meet dietary requirements and are served safely.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Collaborate with caregivers and culinary team to determine menu alternatives for allergies, cultural, ethnic or religious preferences.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection in a timely and accurate manner.
• Adhere to HIPAA policies and facility confidentiality while ensuring patient safety and satisfaction goals.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food and maintaining clean work stations.
