Mercy Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician at St. Rita's Medical Center to provide basic patient care under RN supervision. You will support patient needs, monitor vital signs, assist with mobility and document care in EPIC when applicable.

Qualifications

• Recent clinical experience in acute care or related settings.
• BLS preferred and must be obtained prior to direct patient care.
• EPIC EHR experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care including comfort, vital signs, personal care and mobility.
• Act as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes or concerns.
• Deliver high-quality customer service to patients, families, visitors and staff.
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the medical record.
• Participate in hand-off reports on arrival and departure.
• Perform delegated tasks once competency is validated.
• Assist with safe patient transfers using proper techniques.
• Encourage independence and tailor care to patient interests.
